Feed my people:

As part of my Social Media Content and Development course, I worked in a group and in collaboration with Feed My People, a non-profit organization that helps those in need. Our goal was to complete a social media audit and develop a comprehensive social media content strategy to reach Gen-Z.

After conducting a thorough social media audit, we identified areas of improvement and made suggestions to reach our target audience. We wanted to generate awareness among younger generations, increase engagement and interaction with their content, and strengthen the diversity of their social media content across their channels.

To achieve our goals, we leveraged the thrift store aspect of Feed My People's operations. We suggested creating social media content focused on sustainable fashion, upcycling, and vintage clothing trends. By promoting their thrift store in a fun and trendy way, we hoped to generate interest among younger generations and increase interaction with their content.

Our social media content strategy included a comprehensive content calendar, influencer partnerships, and user-generated content campaigns. We also recommended using Instagram Reels and TikTok to reach a wider audience and increase engagement.

This project provided me with valuable learning experiences in conducting a social media audit, developing a comprehensive social media content strategy, and working collaboratively with a non-profit organization to help them achieve their goals. By working in a group setting, I was able to simulate real-world experience and practice delegation and teamwork, which are essential skills in the field of marketing. The project also allowed me to apply my knowledge and skills in social media marketing to a practical scenario and help Feed My People to reach their target audience and increase their impact. It was a fulfilling experience to contribute to a worthy cause and see the positive impact our efforts had on the non-profit organization.
