Print ads:
One of the areas that I have focused on in many of my classes is print advertising. Through my classes, I have developed a portfolio of print ads that showcase my skills in creating eye-catching designs that effectively communicate the message of the product or service being advertised. In this section, I will highlight some of my most successful print ads.

My thought process...
The guidelines I was given for this print ad included featuring Busch's mascot, Duke the dog, and incorporating the recipe section of the website, and be about football---without directly mentioning the NFL.

To feature Duke the dog, I created an illustration of him standing in front of a football field, with his paw on a can of Busch's BBQ Beans. The use of Duke not only added a playful element to the ad--because who doesn't love dogs--but also served as a nod to Busch's brand recognition.

To incorporate the recipe section of the website, I added "game-day" recipes from Busch's website's recipe section. The use of Duke the dog and football imagery, along with the inclusion of the website's recipe section, created a cohesive and engaging ad that effectively promoted the product.

My thought process...
When tasked with creating a long copy print ad for TruMoo milk, my primary objective was to connect with mothers and communicate the convenience and nutritional value of the product. To do this, I chose to focus on the idea of making life easier for busy moms.

I conducted research on the target audience and the product, taking note of the different flavors of TruMoo milk and its nutritional value. From there, I brainstormed a range of potential concepts and themes for the ad.I decided to center my ad on the idea of "making life easier" for busy moms. This theme allowed me to highlight the convenience and nutritional benefits of TruMoo milk in a way that was relatable and resonant for mothers.

My thought process...
When tasked with creating a print ad for Folgers Coffee, my primary objective was to communicate the idea that Folgers is an essential part of starting the day.

I decided to center my ad on the idea of Folgers coffee being like the sun, a necessary and vital part of starting the day. This theme allowed me to create a strong visual connection between the product and the morning routine.

In the ad, I started with an attention-grabbing headline that read "Folger's Coffee is like the sun, the day can't start without it." This headline was intended to immediately make the connection between Folgers coffee and the morning routine.

To support the headline, I included an image of a cup of Folgers coffee with a smiling sunshine ray appearing in the cup, conveying the idea that Folgers is an essential part of starting the day off right. The subheading, "Get your day started right with Folgers," reinforced this idea and urged readers to consider Folgers coffee as a part of their morning routine.
